Pet Rescue and Adoption

Pet rescue organizations exist everywhere. From them, you can adopt any breed of dog, cat, reptile, bird, or any other pet you can think of. You can adopt a pet who needs you and who will love you for giving it a new home. I have long believed in adoption to acquire a new pet. My husband and I have adopted 6 dogs and several cats over the past 18 years. They have all been wonderful pets, well adjusted and loving.

Purchasing a dog or cat from a pet shop or breeder, if you're not looking to show, unfortunately causes the death of other animals. Each time a person purchases a pet from an illicit breeder or pet store, another deserving pet is killed in a shelter because it didn't get a home.
